About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves modeling company values and demonstrating authentic care for patients in a part-time capacity.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient.
- Manage patient care programs and support patient safety.
- Handle pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Oversee inventory and workflow management.
- Provide customer service and facilitate a positive team culture.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Align others around the company purpose and seek new ways to grow and collaborate.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Visual acuity for transcribing and viewing terminals.
- Ability to orally communicate information and instructions clearly.
- Immunization eligibility.
