About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will follow a structured training roadmap to gain a comprehensive overview of pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to support pharmacy teams and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient patient care.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering immunizations, fielding medical questions, and providing empathetic service.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and contact prescribers to clarify orders or facilitate changes.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to team members while sharing best practices.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and privacy standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning to solve prescription-related problems.
- Strong communication and active listening skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Capacity to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market as needed.
- Ability to become immunization certified.

- This is a part-time, on-site role based in Ohio.
- The position is paid and follows a rolling term schedule.
