About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You help maintain a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing patient care programs and working as a key member of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver care to each patient and manage patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to improve patient outcomes.
- Facilitate a culture of caring and enthusiasm.
- Complete all required training and maintain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for tasks like scanning, bagging, and precision control.
- Visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and visual inspection.
