About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will assist in maintaining a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role is part-time and involves a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and provide customer service.
- Support pharmacy professional practice, patient safety, and quality assurance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations allow.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and complete required training.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, and reaching.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
