About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will assist in delivering patient care, maintaining a safe work environment, and managing pharmacy workflows. This role focuses on gaining professional experience while contributing to the health and well-being of our patients.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment through rigorous adherence to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Deliver care to patients, including the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and workflow processes, excluding final prescription verification.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Foster a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and shared goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes and support company objectives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular, predictable attendance.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and use finger dexterity for precise tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
