About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the pharmacy team. You play a role in maintaining a safe and effective environment while delivering care to patients. This is a part-time, paid position based in Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and manage pharmacy professional practice.
- Handle regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and customer service.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to improve health outcomes and align with the company purpose.
- Facilitate a culture of caring and enthusiasm within the pharmacy.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and inspection.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
