About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You help ensure a safe environment while providing care to patients. This role involves managing patient care programs, assisting with inventory and workflow, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with managing chronic or specialty conditions.
- Provide immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to improve outcomes and maintain a positive, enthusiastic work culture.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Close visual acuity to read, transcribe, and view computer terminals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
