Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on patient care, safety, and professional practice within a clinical environment. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the daily health needs of our patients.

What you'll do#

• Deliver care to patients and manage patient care programs.
• Ensure a safe and effective work environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Perform workflow management tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
• Assist with inventory management and customer service.
• Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Collaborate with your team to deliver positive health outcomes and maintain a supportive culture.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
• Close visual acuity for transcribing and inspecting small parts.
• Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
• Employment Type: Part-time, on-site.
• Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
