About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients, managing patient care programs, and supporting the pharmacy team. This position focuses on professional growth and contributing to our purpose of improving health care access and quality.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient while maintaining a safe pharmacy environment.
- Manage patient care programs and assist with pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver better outcomes and build a culture of pride and energy.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet all state regulations.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Visual acuity for transcribing, viewing computer terminals, and reading.
