About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice while preparing for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient service.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap including Key Learning Experiences.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at every workstation.
- Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off points.
- Provide empathetic care to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering counseling under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify orders.
- Deliver health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, including patient education and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Perform basic inventory tasks like cycle counts and processing medication deliveries.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to pharmacy team members.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel to other stores in the market as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Preferred: Ability to become immunization certified and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

- Location: Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
