About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You play a role in maintaining a safe environment and delivering care to patients. This position is part-time and involves a range of responsibilities including inventory management, workflow support, and customer service. You will also adopt and manage patient care programs while contributing to a team culture focused on empathy and support.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver care to patients and assist with managing chronic or specialty conditions.
- Support pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver better health outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Align your daily work with the company purpose of supporting patient health.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
