About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe environment and delivering care to patients. This position is part-time and operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy environment while focusing on patient safety and professional practice.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and team members.
- Foster a team culture that promotes energy and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes and support company goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, stoop, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and close visual acuity.
