About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the retail pharmacy team. You will help ensure a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing pharmacy tasks and supporting patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Provide patient care through the adoption and management of specific programs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Assist with inventory and workflow management.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and colleagues.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Immunization eligibility.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
- Physical capability to lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
