About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on helping pharmacy teams deliver care while you develop the skills necessary for a future Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment at various workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly while following all company SOPs and legal regulations.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions, soliciting medical history, and offering to counsel under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes where allowed by state regulation.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as your experience increases.
- Support immunizations where permissible, including educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and documenting patient information.
- Contribute to the team dynamic and remain flexible to meet business needs, including traveling to other locations in the market.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
