About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. This role is part of our pharmacy team and focuses on delivering quality service while learning professional practice in a retail environment. You will help manage patient care programs and contribute to the daily operations of the pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver care to patients and provide customer service.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and quality assurance.
- Follow all regulatory requirements and pharmacy professional practices.
- Support patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the process of obtaining one.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
