About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. You will support the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams to deliver on the brand promise and contribute to positive patient experiences.
- Operate pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and cycle counts.
- Deliver health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.

- Pay range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
