About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves modeling company values and supporting our purpose of improving health care access and quality.
What you'll do#
- Maintain pharmacy standards in patient safety, professional practice, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage inventory and workflow tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Lead with empathy and help foster a team culture of energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver better outcomes and align others around our health-focused purpose.
- Once state regulations are met, provide patient immunizations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Ability to stoop and bend to move items.
- Close visual acuity for tasks such as reading, transcribing, and viewing computer terminals.
