About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will contribute to a safe environment while providing care to patients through prescription support and the management of patient care programs. This role is part-time and offers an opportunity to gain professional experience while completing your pharmacy education.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification, and assist with inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support patient health.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Foster a team culture that promotes energy and pride.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
