About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in delivering patient care, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to gain professional experience in a clinical environment.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations, including inventory management, workflow organization, and quality assurance.
- Deliver care to patients and help them manage chronic or specialty conditions.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Facilitate a team culture that emphasizes empathy, energy, and collaboration.
- Provide immunizations once you meet the necessary state regulations.
- Follow all company purpose guidelines to support patient safety and professional practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Capability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, such as typing and scanning.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Completion of all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
