About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance while helping to manage inventory and pharmacy workflows. You will engage directly with patients to deliver care and support various health programs.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Manage patient care programs and inventory.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve health outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for long periods, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
