About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist with daily operations, patient care programs, and team collaboration. This position is part-time and offers the chance to gain professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and support patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with customer service, inventory management, and pharmacy workflow.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to foster a culture of care and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and reach.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
