About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a training roadmap to prepare for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. You will gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures for prescription fulfillment at all workstations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering immunizations, fielding medical questions, and providing compassionate care.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including point-of-care testing and immunizations, where permitted by law.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status and educate patients on the importance of vaccines.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding patient safety and privacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.

- This is an on-site, part-time position located in Greenville, Texas.
- The role operates on a rolling basis.
