About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap designed to build your skills in pharmacy operations while preparing you for a future role as a pharmacist. Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will gain experience across store, district, and regional operations, contributing to a safe and inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Complete a training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Apply Standard Operating Procedures and best practices during daily workflows.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes with prescribers.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Perform basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Review patient information for vaccinations and monitor for adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Ability to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
