About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist in delivering patient care, managing patient care programs, and ensuring quality service. This role is a part-time position focused on professional growth and contributing to our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to every patient and manage patient care programs.
- Model empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Support team culture by promoting energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Collaborate with others to improve patient outcomes and align the team around our purpose.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Handle pharmacy operations including inventory, workflow, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and use fine motor skills for typing and handling items.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
