About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist in delivering patient care, managing inventory, and handling pharmacy workflows, excluding final prescription verification. This position focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance while you gain professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and provide support to customers and caregivers.
- Manage patient care programs and assist with pharmacy operations including inventory and workflow management.
- Lead with empathy and help foster a team culture centered on energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver better health outcomes and support company goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
