About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You play a role in maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This position involves managing pharmacy operations, supporting patient care programs, and fostering a positive team culture.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver care to each patient and provide customer service.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow.
- Maintain pharmacy professional practice and follow regulatory requirements.
- Perform quality assurance tasks.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Align others around the company purpose and promote a culture of enthusiasm.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
