About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Working under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist role. This position provides hands-on experience across store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap including Key Learning Experiences and time with district leaders.
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow protocols at every workstation.
- Provide patient care by offering immunizations, fielding medical questions, and counseling patients under pharmacist supervision.
- Handle telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify orders or facilitate changes.
- Perform inventory tasks such as processing medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as your experience grows.
- Complete training and licensure requirements to achieve Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients on vaccines, monitor for adverse reactions, and document patient information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Availability for regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- At least 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, remain standing for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks like reaching, stooping, and manual dexterity.

- Pay Range: $20.75 - $25.25 per hour.
