About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap to gain experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while you support our pharmacy teams in delivering patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap and key learning experiences.
- Assist with prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Offer counseling and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Manage inventory tasks like putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and all relevant laws.
- Deliver patient services including immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted.
- Review patient information for vaccinations and monitor for adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- One year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is preferred.

- This is a part-time, on-site position.
