About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. You will gain experience across store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and participate in key learning experiences.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing compassionate care.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and putting away medication deliveries.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, and company SOPs.
- Deliver patient health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed by law.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market as needed.

- Location: Columbus, Ohio.
- This is a part-time, on-site role.
- This position is paid with a pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
