About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support our retail pharmacy operations. You will play a part in ensuring a safe work environment while delivering care to patients. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience and contribute to our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance within the pharmacy.
- Manage patient care programs and assist with inventory and workflow.
- Show empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to improve outcomes and promote a positive work culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet all state regulations.
- Complete required training and maintain necessary licensure.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and reaching.
- Ability to perform tasks such as reading, transcribing, and visual inspection.
