About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the pharmacy team. You will focus on patient care, safety, and operational efficiency within a retail pharmacy environment. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience while contributing to the quality of care for our patients.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion while caring for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Support the management of patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment through adherence to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver positive health outcomes.
- Facilitate a positive team culture that promotes energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including standing for long periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching overhead, and using precise finger movements.
- Must complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.

- This position is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
- The role is part-time and on-site.
- This is a paid internship.
