About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by providing hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off, to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory activities, such as cycle counts and returns-to-stock.
- Assist with immunizations and patient education where allowable by law.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Availability for regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
