About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic pharmacy school learning into real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while you support pharmacy teams in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify orders.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and processing medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events as required.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
- Strong mathematical reasoning and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods and pivot quickly between duties.
- Proficiency in active listening and clear verbal and written communication.
- Ability to notice and understand patient reactions.
- Capability to lift up to 20 lbs and remain mobile for extended periods.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
