About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. This role focuses on delivering patient care, maintaining a safe work environment, and supporting the pharmacy team. You will gain professional experience while helping patients manage their health and medication needs.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
- Manage pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Oversee inventory and workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide patient immunizations once eligible.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Support team culture through empathy, collaboration, and clear communication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
