About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on delivering care to patients while maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist with patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Manage and adopt patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to improve outcomes and promote a culture of energy and enthusiasm.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Align team members around the company purpose.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular, predictable attendance.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
