About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and key learning experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow protocols at every workstation.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering counseling, fielding medical questions, and providing compassionate care.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify orders.
- Perform basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, including immunizations, where permitted by law.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status through required training and licensure.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- 1+ years of related experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

- Location: Otsego, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.
