About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist in delivering patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and uphold professional practice standards.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and pride.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and perform tasks such as lifting, scanning, and bagging items.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
