About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering care to patients and managing patient care programs to keep customers healthy. You will collaborate with your team to improve health outcomes and support the daily operations of the pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and manage patient care programs.
- Model empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Support a team culture that values energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Assist with pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver better health outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
