About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and contributing to a positive team culture. This is a part-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and assist with the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Model empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and pride.
- Collaborate with the team to improve patient outcomes and align with pharmacy goals.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations and eligibility requirements are met.
- Perform operational tasks including inventory management, workflow support, and customer service.
- Complete all required training and follow state regulatory requirements.
- Handle additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, bend, stoop, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Close visual acuity for reading and computer tasks.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
