About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care within a retail pharmacy setting. You will help manage daily operations, ensure patient safety, and support the pharmacy team in delivering quality care to customers and patients.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy environment through regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and workflow processes.
- Support patient care programs and provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Foster a team culture that values enthusiasm and professional pride.
- Collaborate with others to improve patient outcomes and support the pharmacy purpose.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Up to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
