About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to support patient health and provide care. You will operate under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail environment. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering high quality service to our customers.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations, including inventory management and workflow tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
- Manage patient care programs and assist with quality assurance.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion while interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Promote a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and collaboration.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulatory requirements.
- Maintain adherence to all pharmacy professional practices and regulatory standards.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks like scanning and bagging items.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
