About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You help maintain a safe environment and provide care to patients. This role involves managing pharmacy workflows, assisting with inventory, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety and pharmacy professional practice standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Assist with inventory management and quality assurance tasks.
- Deliver customer service and help patients adopt care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with the team to promote a positive culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Completion of all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
