About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will support the pharmacy team in providing care to patients and managing daily operations. This role is part-time and based on-site in Highlands, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients.
- Manage pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Handle inventory and workflow management tasks.
- Support the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to promote a culture of energy and pride.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for typing and handling small items.
- Visual acuity for tasks such as reading and transcribing information.
