About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will gain professional experience while helping patients manage their health and chronic conditions. This is a part-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Deliver care to patients and provide customer service.
- Perform patient safety, quality assurance, and inventory management tasks.
- Manage pharmacy workflows, excluding final prescription verification.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to improve outcomes.
- Align your work with our company purpose and foster a positive team culture.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and perform physical tasks like reaching, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Visual acuity for reading and using computer terminals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
