About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will focus on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and professional practice while delivering care to our patients. This is a part-time role that requires the ability to work nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment through quality assurance and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
- Manage inventory and handle customer service duties.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support patient health.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver positive outcomes and maintain a culture of energy and care.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and bending.
- Close visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and inspection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.

- This position is located in Chesterfield, Virginia.
- The role is on-site and part-time with a rolling term.
