About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position involves gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on key learning experiences.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, fielding medical questions, and soliciting medical history.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and assist with medication clarifications.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts and returns.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.

- Pay range: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
