About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role focuses on gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations to prepare for future pharmacist responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures for prescription fulfillment at all workstations.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering counseling under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Perform inventory tasks such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and vaccine education, while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members.
- Maintain flexibility for scheduling and travel to other store locations within the market as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance including nights and weekends.
- Strong focus and attention to detail, including the ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication, active listening, and mathematical problem-solving.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks and handle challenging patient or colleague interactions.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Preferred: Ability to become immunization certified and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
