About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in maintaining a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing patient care programs, supporting workflow, and participating in inventory management.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment in the pharmacy.
- Manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to improve outcomes and promote a positive work culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Align your daily work with company goals and purposes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong skills in communication and presentation.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, stoop, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Ability to maintain visual acuity for close work and orally communicate instructions to others.
