About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and ensuring quality assurance. This role focuses on helping patients manage their health through various care programs while you gain professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Manage patient care programs to support health and wellness.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to improve outcomes and promote a positive work culture.
- Administer patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Assist with inventory management and pharmacy operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain mobile, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred.
