About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. You will gain professional experience while helping patients manage their health needs.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment within the pharmacy.
- Manage and adopt patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Deliver care to patients with empathy and compassion.
- Handle inventory and pharmacy workflow management.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Assist with daily pharmacy tasks and follow regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain mobile, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
